Do I have to have an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?

An ADHD diagnosis is not at all necessary. You do not need any specific diagnosis to benefit from executive function and ADHD coaching. Whether you suspect you have ADHD, are diagnosed with ADHD, or don't have ADHD but experience executive function challenges, ADHD coaching can be beneficial.

Do you work with teens and young adults that are not currently enrolled in school?

Yes, I work with people who are not enrolled in school or college. Many of the skills we will work on during coaching are relevant to work and daily life and may contribute to their ability to enroll in higher education later, if they choose to do so.

I'm the parent of a college student. Can I set up coaching for my child?

Yes, parents may sign up for and pay for coaching for their young adult. Please note that your student must be present for the Intake and Planning session and should, of course, be willing to participate in coaching. I recommend that your student meet with me for a complimentary virtual consultation to ensure that we're a good fit and to answer any of their questions or concerns. If this is your situation, please get in touch and I can send you a document that explains how arrangements of this nature work. I would be happy to have a consultation with you, the parent, before moving forward working with your young adult or teen.

Where can I get more information about what ADHD coaching is?

Great question! Here's an informative article from ADDitude Magazine and another description of ADHD coaching here. If you have any questions after reading these articles, please be in touch! I have also developed a detailed explanation of the ADHD coaching process here. I am happy to share more in a complimentary, virtual information session.

Do you work with adults (non-students)?

Yes! Because of my background in higher education, I believe I have the skills and experience to focus on this population but I am trained and able to work with anyone that thinks they can benefit from ADHD coaching.

Where are you located and do you offer in-person coaching?

I'm located in Austin, Texas and am well-equipped to work with Austin Community College, University of Texas (Austin), and Texas State University students as I have attended or taught at each of these institutions. I am generally able to meet in person at one of these locations though most of my clients prefer to meet virtually for convenience. Because I offer coaching online, I can work with students all over the world.

How long do clients work with you?

The duration of coaching can vary depending on each client's needs. On average, I recommend a commitment of 3 to 6 months. After the initial 12-week coaching package, clients have the option to continue with weekly sessions or switch to biweekly meetings, depending on what works best for them.

Do you accept insurance? I cannot afford to pay out of pocket.

Unfortunately, health insurance does not typically pay for ADHD coaching. However, you may be able to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for these services, so please check with your plan to confirm this option.

If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss payment plans and available discounts. I want to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent access to ADHD coaching.

What credentials do you hold for ADHD coaching?

I am currently completing a year-long, ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited training program at the International ADHD Coach Training Center. Upon graduation, I will earn the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) credential from the ICF. Additionally, I actively participate in ADHD conferences and summits to stay informed about the latest research in the field. I am also pursuing certifications in executive function coaching and as a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Coach Practitioner.
