About Me
Coach Photo, Thrive ADHD coach in Austin, Texas

My name is Kyla and I'm training to become a certified ADHD Coach. I have a background in teaching at the college level for the last ten years (including Texas State University and Austin Community College). My interest in coaching students with ADHD and executive function challenges formed during my teaching career when I saw many bright, talented, and fantastically creative students struggle in the college environment. I've spent the last year enrolled in an ICF-accredited international ADHD coaching program and, upon completion,  will seek an ICF certification. In the meantime, I am working with high school and college students as I complete my certification, offering my coaching services at a reduced rate. Please reach out if you'd like to schedule a complimentary consultation.

Mission

My mission is to help high school students transition into college and to help college students overcome challenges related to ADHD and executive function.

More broadly, my mission is to support students as they tap into their inner strengths and abilities to work toward their academic and personal goals.

Process Overview

We'll begin with a complimentary 30-minute virtual session so that I may introduce myself and learn more about your needs. If we decide to work together, we'll embark on next steps, which will include a thorough look at your executive function challenges, learning styles, as well as your personal strengths and values before we move into weekly coaching sessions that will allow you to make progress toward your goals. Most  students are inundated with homework, and despite this, for some coaching packages I will supply weekly targeted exercises and resources that address each student's specific struggles to complement coaching sessions.
